[27/m] Trying to figure how to get past the game of a [23/f]

SO here it goes, I met this girl at a birthday party for a mutual friend. We hit it off all night haveing fun dancing, flirtying, everything but past her falling asleep on me at the end of the night (she was hammered and don't make moves on someone that drunk). The next morning I wake up she has left and thought nothing of it. Next thing I know my buddies gf is calling me to tell me that this girl thought I was really cute and wanted to get to know me. I thought cool why not I had recently become single lets add a new friend. First two weeks go great had a blast hanging out a couple times and just trying to get to know each other. Then it all slows down havn't seen her and have barely talked to her in a couple weeks. I understand it is holiday season work gets crazy blah blah blah. Am I wrong to think that if she wants to get to know me (and yes she texted me the other day to say that she is busy and wants to get to know me still after I had asked her what is going on) that she would try a little bit harder to try and see me and hang out with me? What can I do to try and get myself out of this grey area?
