Beginner in need of help
Hey r/fitness! I'm totally new here, so excuse and redditquette faux pas I might make on my first post. Im a 17 year old male who's been working out for the past 3 months. My work out includes:
90 Bicep Curls
50 Sit ups
50 Dips
50 Sit ups
100 Push ups
Depending on how much work I have every day, I can do only one or two reps a day. I'm a senior this year, and I already got most of my college responses back (Got in everywhere I wanted to so I got that on down) so I have little to do until finals come around in May. I'm in the IB program and take 6 IB classes, so with my 1 rep workout I manage to go to bed at around 1am - 2am every night, but like I said I have little to do until exams roll out in may, and then again little to do until September. I eat right (very little indulging, avoid starch at all costs, lots of meat and fruit) and have seen a lot of improvement. My arms are bigger, my pecs are no longer flat and I have a semblance of abs. But I really want to get toned, not big and buff just toned, before college comes around. I'm looking to get a gym membership for christmas and start going to the gym by February (My 18th birthday is in the end of January). What should I do, both at the gym and at home, that will get me to my ideal weight of 180 pounds, while being at 145 now?
At home I have access to 2 dumbells of 20 pounds each, a bar with 20 pounds a flat space, while at the gym I expect to have access to a swimming pool and more versatile gear.
I guess what I'm asking for is some help and guidance here. What do I need to do, how often do I need to do it and what do I need to improve?
EDIT: English is my third language, so please find it in your buff hearts to excuse any grammatical mistakes I made:)
