Honors College?

I am a senior in HS right now, and I was accepted a couple weeks ago into the College of Arts and Sciences after applying early action. UVM is one of my top choices. Yesterday I received a letter inviting me to the Honors College. I have heard/read that HC students get to live in newer dorms, register early for classes, and take inter-disciplinary seminars freshman/sophomore year. Basically, my question is if there are any major differences beyond those between being in the HC or not; also, if anyone has additional insight, whether you're in the HC or not, I'd love to hear it.
