Econ 100 and 101 at the same time?

I was wondering if anyone here has taken intermediate micro and macro econ at the same time and had any thoughts about it; I'm thinking about doing this, however I've read on the website and from advisers that it's not recommended. Does anyone have any input on whether it's feasible?
