recommendations for a basic travel sewing kit?

I need a travel kit for basic repairs of pulled threads, popped buttons, etc., and the cheap kits I've bought in the past have lousy thread, flimsy scissors, and a case that doesn't stay closed. Can someone recommend a decent alternative?
