I'm going to be moving out of my home to college within the next year. I have the choice of moving in with a bunch of friends or with family, and am having a tough time deciding. Anybody have any college stories/advice to help me decide?

Most of my family has told me its a bad decision to move in with friends, and that it would be easier to just move in with family, but i know i won't get another chance to have the experience of living with friends. It would be me with 4 other good friends in one place, or me and my uncles in their home. I'm just not 100% sure living with friends would be worth having a tougher time and am worried about what my parents would do after all the advice to not go. Can anybody help me out on this decision?
