Is there any way to raise Mea Culpa's damage in True Torment?

I have ascended my original playthrought of the game in order to fight the Amanecidas and get Ending C, the damage of Mea Culpa has reset back to its initial damage and interacting with the shrines doesn't seem to boost its strength, is there any way of increasing its damage or do I have to play trought the entire game while dealing minimun damage?
