Subreddit going dark?
Is r/TeardownGame going to join the protests at all and go dark, or will things be business as usual? This is a bit of a historic time in Reddits history and very many (big and small) subreddits are going dark.
Should TeardownGame join?

The blackout should be longer than two days. 2 days is nothing to a bunch of rich people. One week or even a month. That’s a different story.
What blackout? What protests? I haven't heard anything about that stuff
It’s in protest of the api becoming ridiculously expensive. 20 Million a year is what Apollo (3rd party Reddit client) would pay if this were to go in effect, which it is due to do on the 1st of July. Basically, it’s Reddit trying to force everyone onto their own app by eliminating the competition. (The last sentence is not my words, but I do agree with them)
Oh ok thanks
it doesn't matter if it is some lost for reddit or not, it's protest, not something that should hurt reddit that much.
I suppose the short blackout is nice for convenience, but the shortness is also why the CEO doesn’t give a damn. Making this protest do nearly nothing in the end. (Source: news article)
i saw somewhere on reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/144ho2x/join_our_ceo_tomorrow_to_discuss_the_api/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 ) that CEO wanted to do some discussion about those changes after the blackout was announced
Ah, my mistake. I only read the headline. My bad.
My point still stand though.
Yeah, an AMA happened, and the CEO didn't answer the questions and ghosted the AMA. Doesn't look good.
