Will ebay refund the cost of fees for a returned/cancelled order?

eBay

I sold a drawing tablet and the day after creating a shipping label (but not before actually shipping the item) the customer requested a return stating they bought the wrong one. Listing is set for no returns accepted, but I decided to accept the return rather than forcing them to keep it due to the assumption that it will turn into a “not as described” scenario.

It appears to be around a $50 loss due to fees and shipping for the transaction. Is there any way to get my fees back?

You can ask to have the shipping label refunded through the shipping label tab and fees will be refunded

just an FYI, if the label was USPS, it'll take a couple of weeks for the shipping portion to get refunded, they (USPS) just wants to make sure the label doesn't get used. But you will get it back.

But you still have to request it. It won’t happen automatically (USPS)

Yeah, your first post stated that, so didn't think I needed to repeat it.

If a label is not used then the carrier will refund that money if you request it.
One suggestion or comment, there's no true 'no returns accepted' if a customer says there is an issue with an item ebay will almost always side with them; you have more of a leg to stand on when fighting a return or a claim if you have returns accepted in your listings.
Just thought I would share as not only can seeing that be offputting to buyers but also having dealt with scammers and the returns policy having played a key role in squashing their nonsense and not losing thousands of dollars.
