The ‘pyro’ for his entrance this week is possibly the most appropriate and definitely the most funny thing I’ve ever seen in wrestling. Orange never fails to put a smile on my face when he heads to the ring, and ultimately isn’t that why we watch?

I have noticed it's been like that for at least a few weeks now. The first time I noticed it, I was laughing my fucking ass off. My wife doesn't closely follow AEW but will end up watching some of it usually and has her favorites, Orange Cassidy definitely being one of them. She was watching last week when he came out I told her to watch for his pyro, and it had her cracking up.
Well done OC and production crew, well done.
Subtly and wrestling don’t often go hand in hand but when it does it’s well appreciated.
They did little spurts of fire for a bit before switching to the current version. Both were great but I prefer this way more
Yeah it's been that way for a while, unsure why OP thinks it was only this week.
I noticed it for the first time when I saw it live in Feb. so it they have been doing it since at least then. It is much harder to notice on TV though.
I feel they should take it one step further at ppv's...just have someone from the back walk beside him with a sparkler to the edge of the ramp.
Get the Taker/druids treatment with a bunch of jean jacket wearing folks halfheartedly holding sparklers all along the ramp.
I was going to say that this would be the only way to make it better and someone else thought it 🤣

That's his championship pyro. When he loses the championship, they'll change it to something like one of those fountain type fireworks. You know, the ones that little kids get all excited about. Just a whoosh of sparkles and maybe a couple of pops.
Even better, have Danhausen come out with him throwing those little popper things on the ground, acting like it's one of the most evil things ever.
Does his lazy fireworks infer that wrestlers are responsible for setting their own pyro?
I think in kayfabe the stage is sentient and "reads" various things about the wrestler (clout, ability, status, match importance, etc), giving an appropriate amount of pyro for them. Basically the stage is its own character with its own will.
So the Pyro Gods just really vibe with OC and give him the perfect amount.

I love it. They’ve done it for a few weeks and it’s perfect. I was an early critic of how AEW handled pyro because it lacked personality, but they NAILED this one.
The first time I saw it, I thought it was a mistake. It wasn’t till the second one went off that I realized it was on purpose. Definitely lol’d

The awkward pause before the second shot fires is top tier wrestling comedy.
