Is it worth going to ER for IUD falling out?
Me: 26yrs old, 4’11, 230 lb, female I take metformin for diabetes, acetazolamide for brain pressure, then lithium, Wellbutrin xr, buspar, Latuda and clonidine for anxiety and bipolar disorder. I take a daily vitamin and a green tea supplement. They have suspected either/both PCOS or endometriosis but never came to a conclusion. Former smoker. It seems frivolous but I’ve had an IUD for 4 years. I’m not sexually active and suddenly suspected a few weeks ago my iud was out of place because the cramping had gotten really bad again. I wasnt bleeding heavily but the cramping was coming back full force. It stopped so I forgot about it. Today I’m walking and I feel a weird pinching pain and I have a thought of my iud fell out. I checked and the string is in my vaginal canal. I’m not going to try and pull it out. I’m still having intense cramps and spotting. Pain in my hips lately too. Mostly on the left side. I’m moving so I dont have a gyno and planned parenthood is closed on Sundays not to mention next appointment is the 27th. I have no options other than a frivolous ER visit. Can I avoid this and go to urgent care or something? Can this issue wait?
