Anyone else gone from AN with binges to pure restriction?
I have ALWAYS been a binger, even at my lowest weights. I was diagnosed with AN b/p, I've always had cravings/mental hunger/appetite/hunger cues. it's been 10 years with this disorder with a couple recovery attempts, and binging/instances of 'losing control' have always been a part of my behaviors. I've never felt like a "real anorexic" for this reason and related more to bulimics/EDNOS peeps.
But this past while is the first time I've not wanted to binge at all. I have no cravings or appetite, no hunger cues. I don't even think about food that much. It's the strangest thing. It's like a switch flipped in me and I have no idea what triggered it. Has this happened to anyone else?? The switch from binging (or just loss of control) to pure restriction?
For me restricting has always felt like struggling against the tide of hunger but rn I'm just floating along the current. Even at my lowest I couldn't "keep control" for more than two or three days. I really can't understate how strange this is. I don't know how much longer this will last, I could "revert" back to my normal whenever I guess. This has just never happened.
