leaving military and attending school

My contract in the army is ending this December, and I would like to go back to school to finish my degree this coming spring. I'm running into a problem of timing. Most applications open August, with the decisions coming out in December. however I still have to decide/plan where to move with my family. Am I out of luck trying to attend spring semester? Asking mainly due to financial reasons since my move from my duty station to wherever will be reimbursed, but anything after wont.
