Aren’t Ging and Pariston on the same side??

SpoilerLatest Chapter Spoilers

Pariston wants to free Beyond using Saiyu the Monkey, so that Beyond can go to DC unsupervised (Pariston prolly just wanna mess with the Zodiacs). Ging wants to go to the DC as well. In fact, he is Beyond’s second in command. So what is the conflict between Pariston and Ging?

They just don’t like each other. That’s it. Just because you’re working towards a common goal with someone doesn’t mean you’re gonna get along with them

Did you miss the entire conversation of how Pariston likes to great harm to things he loves and wants to cause chaos with the 5000 CA Hybrids??

Pariston isn't helping Beyond for altruistic reasons or because he has interest interest in the DC. He wants to troll the Hunter association and probably the entire world. He is Hisoka on a macroscale. Pariston doesn't care about the human toll his trolls cause.

He still has the Ants. Ging just predicted his first play with them so went to join partially to disrupt that Plan A.

He is Hisoka on a macroscale.

Funnily enough, I think Pariston actually resembles Tonpa in personality far more than Hisoka.

Tonpa was the teaser to the type of villains that exist in this world.

They cause harm for harms sake. They are sick. They don't care that they are. When you think they can't sink any lower they go lower.

I think he probably does have legitimate loyalty to Beyond, a big point is made that for all of Pariston’s deception and untrustworthiness, he truly was loyal to his father Issac and looked up to him. The Netero family seems to be a big part of his character

Pariston treats the Neteros in the same way Ging treats Gon, which is to say horribly but stemming from some kind of love. Although Pariston takes it a lot further.

Their relationships are nothing alike. Ging would be ok to have never seen Gon. All he did was leave him tiny breadcrumbs and let Gon take his own course to him.

Pariston actively trolled Netero. The love is exactly like Hisoka for Chrollo, T for girls with bright futures, and the worst versions of the Joker for Batman.

e truly was loyal to his father Issac and looked up to him

Can you tell me what chapter that was said? I don't remember a single scrap of evidence as to Isaac and Beyond's relationship other.

- We know Issaac half expected his Son to come after him and kinda wanted it to happen.- We know he disoberyed Isaac's orders decades ago on when he went on his first trip.- We know Isaac considered Beyond more of a Hunter than himself because his goal is more far reaching.

We never got any hints that Beyond was loyal to his father. Best you can say is that he waited the 50 Years to go on this journey out of tacit respect for his father but it could easily be because he was playing the long game which goes with his personality so far.

Regardless of Beyond and Isaac's relationship I don't think Pariston gives 2-shits. He's a Joker looking for his next Batman. With Netero gone his new target is the entirety of the Hunter Association. Pariston is no less sick than Tserri and Hisoka.

His loyalty is 0. Beyond is a means to an end. Which is just causing as much trouble as he can to the most capable people out there. Ging couldn't have contrasted Pariston and Beyond more strongly.

I didn’t say anything about Beyond and Issac, I meant Pariston was loyal to Issac

1
Kujaix•

He was not. He got Netero killed. He may even be part of the reason the Ant Queen even landed at NGL. He's about as close to Isaac as Illumi&Hisoka are to each other. Probably less antagonistic. If Netero stopped being fun he'd lose interest.

Odd way to structure a sentence, but my bad.

I remember that conversation

W Pariston trolling

Because we don't really know Pariston's true intentions, and for the matter even Ging's.

Having the same destination doesn't mean you're on the same side. Ging is there to keep Pariston in check when the latter inevitably decides to fuck everyone.

It’s kinda weird. It seems as though they both want the same thing, however they both also enjoy messing with people, and recognize each other as a worthy opponent intellectually, so they’ve kinda decided to play their own little game of chess before the dark continent.

Maybe Ging thinks Beyond is not gonna join the team soon enough. So he tried to become second in command so that if no.1 doesn't appear, he will be the boss

Yes, they are on the side... The side of the TROLL.
Pariston trolls everyone.
And Ging trolled his son.

They are not on same side - that for sure :3

Pariston is working/being controlled by "that being", while Ging is not. Sometimes their goals align, but ultimately they do not.

I mean they share the goal of helping Beyond and getting to the Dark Continent but they are definitely not "on the same side" as they are doing it for different reasons.

We don't truly know Pariston intention, we know that Ging assumes that Pariston wants to play with the Zodiacs and Hunter Association by being annoying with them, I personally agree with Ging. Pariston wants to annoy the Zodiacs and put the Hunter Association under a bad light by releasing the 5000 chimera ants in the World, I also think he wants to put shame on the Zodiacs by helping Beyond.

Ging on the other hand just cares about getting to the Dark Continent itself, he wants to enjoy the journey with his new "partners" while trying to hold off Pariston as Ging did excplicitly scold Pariston for wanting to treat the Hunter Association as his toy so he'll try stop Pariston from doing so.

They dislike each other and have different goals in mind, for both Beyond is just a mean to get to their goals.

I may also add a theory of mine: I think Pariston did really enjoy his time with Netero and probably don't like what Beyond is doing, I think he wants to kill two birds with one stone: stress the Zodiacs by releasing the Chimara Ants, annoy them by preventing them from getting to the Dark Continent and torture them with the thought that Beyond will make it before them BUT AT THE SAME TIME I think he'll betray Beyond and try to prevent him from getting to the Dark Continent too (he'll probably do the same with Ging). Making Ging think that his goal is just to play with the Zodiacs without openly admitting it is a good way to mask his other intention.

They are on the same team but not the same side.

Pariston wants Chaos. He owns 50.000 Chimera eggs and he is going to the Dark Continent for unknown reasons but Gin think that they are bad reasons.

Gin wants to go to the Dark Continent but he will check Pariston left and right and stop him if he needs to.

About Beyond Netero and more, it is more complicated becase the secret plan is to reach a big continent and lie to everyone saying that is the DC. From that point probably smaller teams will head to the DC in secret. Beyond is a stone in the shoe with this because he can talk and say to the Royal family that that big landmass is not the DC…

Not to mention that Beyond has his own agenda.
