Do boards like this exist?
First off I love my Tynee board in its bastardized franken glory, but with laws in many places limiting eskates and other PEVs (and some escooter people not helping by doing dumb stuff) I'm wondering if there are boards that fit a last mile category of sorts.
For example:
- Low top speed (25kph) because speed not needed
- Decent sized battery (especially for our bigger brothers and sisters) with a range of 10-15km max
- Short deck so it's easy to take on a train, bus, tram etc
- Belt drive so there's more options for comfort
- Maybe DKP for fun and sharp turns (i know, kicktail)
I've tried to find some of these but there's nothing really that is from a manufacturer that I trust. The cheapest one I can get locally with a warranty from a big distributor is an Evolve Stoke (they sell through a department store so warranty goes there) which is $899AUD. But, you know, Evolve.
There's the Meepo flow (and mini etc) which is a bit more but after seeing a number of posts here about Meepo I'm not comfortable going that route.
Backfire has a city commuter board which would be nice but it's hub drive. Exway has the wave but it's at least $1300AUD.
Are there any options for a board that would only be used every to get from public transport to work and back again? because the irony now is that my "Tynee Mini" is 1.1m long and not super portable like it used to be.
