Is dissed parking free in Le Mans?

Bonjour! I am Italian and I have an EU disabled parking card. I’m staying in Le Mans for a few days and I was wondering if I have to pay for street parking. In Italy street parking is free for disabled people in the whole country but I only found that’s the same in Paris, but found no information about other french cities. I would like to discover whether should I pay before la police municipale starts issuing fines on Monday morning. Thank you!

Normally yes, but prefer the disable parking places just in case.

Seems like it, here it says that since 2015 with the EU Card you can park anywhere where it's open to public (means no private parking).

Depuis 2015, la loi facilite le stationnement des personnes en situation de handicap titulaires de la carte européenne de stationnement, devenue carte mobilité inclusion (CMI) depuis.

Gratuité

Tout titulaire de la carte mobilité inclusion, ou la tierce personne qui l'accompagne, peut utiliser à titre gratuit et sans limitation de durée toute place de stationnement ouverte au public. La carte doit alors être apposée de manière bien  visible derrière le pare-brise.
