The Firebomber (Krogan Soldier Build)
Here's the build. http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#Soldier/Krogan/NQRFF/Wraith10AA1AA1/////
So I've been preaching about this build in various comment sections for a while, and since I know a lot of people have been looking for new and exciting ways to play, I figured I'd share my new favorite build with you guys. Give it a try if you want to play a Krogan, but don't want to spend 20 minutes holding down F, ignoring whatever gun happens to be attached to your bayonet.
Carnage and Inferno Grenade are two extremely useful powers to have. The whole basis of this build is setting up targets in a large area with Inferno Grenade, then detonating one after the other with Carnage. Fortification will always stay on, because this is definitely not a melee build. In fact, you play this like a heavy caster class, since you can absolutely wreck armor with your fire detonations. Most of the time, I charge in at the start of a wave, and completely nuke the mooks that I run into. Trooper-level enemies will just melt away, and things like Ravagers will take two grenades/carnages to go down. However, keep in mind that two of these grenade/carnage combos take about 5 seconds to complete, and do damage over a massive area.
Powers
Power evolutions are very lenient. Carnage rank 4 can be either damage or radius, since I never really noticed a difference between the two. Recharge speed is more useful since any enemy that you can knock down will just be killed in the fire explosion anyway. Again, armor damage is more useful because most things with health will be dead soon enough anyway.
IG is also pretty liberal. I like the two Radius evolutions just because it gives the grenades a 9 meter radius, which is absolutely insane. If you don't have Grenade Capacity 5, Max Grenades is probably a better option than Damage at the 5th rank. Remember, Inferno Grenade isn't so much a damage dealer as it is a primer for your explosions.
Fortification is obvious. You won't ever purge it, so taking Damage Reduction at 4 is best. Power synergy, in my opinion, is more useful than the Shield Delay, since it gives you the comfort of not worrying about that last sliver of health on an enemy. Finally, you can go with Power Recharge or Durability. I recommend Durability in general, since Carnage's recharge speed is fast enough with a light loadout that it's a little redundant.
Weapons
I like the Wraith here, but really, anything that's light enough that gives you good cooldowns but heavy enough to deal good damage when you're running to ammo boxes will work. The Eviscerator is a good option (especially for those without the Wraith), as is the Reegar. I don't recommend the Claymore, just because most of the stuff that you shoot will have so little health left that the Claymore is going to be wasting a lot of damage; you can finish off one enemy with the Claymore in the time that it takes the Wraith to finish off two. Also, if you have the Acolyte at a decent rank, it doesn't hurt to take it, and is almost mandatory when fighting geth. Of course, if you bring the Reegar, skip the Acolyte.
As for gear, it's really up to you. AP rounds can be pretty handy, and Disruptor ammo is nice to get the odd Tech Burst in, especially if you can't bear to give up the weight for the Acolyte. Cyclonic Modulators are nice to make up for your lack of rage.
Conclusion
This build absolutely wrecks the reapers. It can also be very, very effective against Geth and Cerberus if you bring the Acolyte. I don't play a lot of Collectors, but I find they don't bunch up enough for my tastes. Just remember, you aren't going to be in Rage mode basically ever, so you'll be just about the squishiest Krogan out there (which is still pretty beefy). Also keep in mind that you can spawn nuke like the Drell, but you don't have his mobility when it comes to escaping Banshee and Phantom instant kills.
Some good teammates to take along are the Male Quarian Engineer/Infiltrator, since together you can set off a whole hell of a lot of tech bursts. I also find that any character with Warp, and anyone with Chain Overload (looking at you, TSent) can not only make your armor damage ridiculous, but also detonate your fire explosions when you can't, and prime Tech Bursts for you. But really, this guy does a damn good deal of damage on his own, and has a place on any team.
Everyone, please feel free to comment and critique. This is my first build, and I just wanted to share with you guys a build that really does make Gold feel like Silver, but without it being completely boring.
