Landing net on an Unger pole

I plan on doing some crabbing off a raised pier but cant find a pole that seems to be long enough. I came up with the idea of sticking a net onto the end of an 18’ extendable unger pole.

It seems like all the landing nets for sale screw onto a small threaded rod. But i need one that screws onto the end of a broom stick.

Does anyone know of something that would work?

Japanese nets meant for “landing shafts” screw in but Im not certain the threading will match and they’re expensive.

Why don’t you just use a crabbing net as your landing implement?

I was hoping to get something that wont mess up the pole since theyre a bit pricy.

Getting a $20 net attachment is better than screwing up a $60 pole.

I found a landing net with a hollow handle. Slid the net onto the pole. Drilled holes thru both. Then used a bolt with a wing nut to secure them together. The pole collapsed will fit in my car. But not with net attached. So I take the net off for travel.
