I think he has the coolest job ever. Bourdain did too, but Josh’s adventures are amazing.

That was a great episode, and it leaves me wondering how the ancient people built such a city in the middle of nowhere, and what with? I mean, there's not a mountain or river in sight (or maybe not anymore), so where did they get the millions of tons of sandstone and brick from, with which to build the city?

Should something from antiquity always belong to “the country”? What does it even mean to belong to a country? Cambodia as we know it didn’t even exist at the time.

I think this is a sentiment a lot of people have that is actually routed in colonialism. While yes “Cambodia as we know it didn’t event exist…” the land did. The indigenous people to that land did and have ancestors living to this day that deserve to have their history and art and culture. Think of what resources places that have been colonized and then left would have if they had all their culture returned to them. They would have more reason for tourism. The governments or peoples can have access to funds while loaning or ethically selling pieces to global museums. But instead, Europeans of yore decided that whatever they saw was theirs and looted leaving todays peoples still trying to piece their history back together.
