Key won’t turn in ignition

Hello, I have a Volkswagen Passat 2012 and my problem is that my key won’t turn in the ignition. It inserts fine, turns enough to turn the radio on but no lights on the dashboard or AC or anything, just the radio. The key doesn’t turn any further to start the engine or other electronics as mentioned. The steering wheel is not locked, I’ve tried using my unused spare key, jiggled the key, jiggled the shift stick, used WD-40 to lubricate the ignition lock cylinder, and nothing has given me any progress. Please help with any suggestions.
