Escalate to boss or no?

I posted a comment about this in a weekly thread but looking for more advice. I work on a small team and it’s giving me a lot of exposure to a few areas in the company that I’m interested in long-term so I don’t want to eventually leave and don’t want to hurt my reputation. My current boss that I report directly to is also pretty high up and also going to continue to move higher. My issue is I have a coworker that has toxic energy and a constant rollercoaster of moods. I never know if I’m going to encounter her being pleasant and helpful or completely patronizing and backstabbing. I’ve learned I can’t trust her and she’s willing to run to our boss and try to paint me in a bad light with any information I give her. We work together pretty frequently has our processes intersect so we have to engage almost daily.

Last week she crossed the line with me twice in front of my staff. She was patronizing and completely rude in her tone to the point that one of my direct reports made a comment to me that she felt like the coworker was out of line in how she was speaking. I haven’t addressed the coworker yet just because at this point I think it’s just her personality as she does it to others and I don’t trust her with me confronting her. Do I escalate this to my boss just to let her know the dynamics at play and that I’m eventually going to have to confront the coworker if it happens again? Or just keep quiet and deal with it? I don’t necessarily need my boss to intervene but I want her to understand the shit I’m dealing with on a daily basis because it is starting to affect my overall mood. I’m not sure what to do but it feels wrong to just silently suffer from her bullying me.
