#2022 Edition Tutorial for MS Rewards

In this tutorial, you will learn how to Sign Up for Microsoft Rewards, Earn Reward Points, as well as redeeming your points for Xbox & Microsoft Store Gift Cards, Xbox Gold & Ultimate Memberships, as well as Target and Wal-Mart Gift Cards and some others. In this new revised edition, we will also be showing you how to get the new Game Pass Quests!!

You will also learn how to use the New Xbox Rewards App as well as the New Xbox Game Pass/Rewards App!!

At Level 2 In a 30 day time period, you will earn a minimum of 300pts a day / 4500pts every 15 days / 9000pts a month. (Locations may vary, see chart below, some regions don't have access to mobile points or Daily Sets)

# **TUTORIAL:**

**STEP 1. ] The Rewards Dashboard “BASICS”

First sign up and register** your Xbox MS Acct. at https://rewards.microsoft.com/

After you sign up and register your MS acct. go to https://account.microsoft.com/rewards

* Available Points: The points you have achieved

* Streak Count- Shows how many days in a row you've completed the "Daily Set" (gives bonuses)

* Points Break Down- This is where you will earn points for Bing and Mobile Searches

**Step 2. ]** The Rewards Dashboard **“DAILY SET”** [IMAGE LINK](https://i.imgur.com/fM8GIig.jpg)

There is the "Daily Set"- this will have you click on a link for 10+ points / Quiz for 10 pts (sometimes more) and then click on a Poll for 10pts each sometimes more but a MINIMUM of 30pts this will also count for your *STREAK REWARDS*. *see next section for more info*

The Daily Set is not available in all regions, some only have it randomly.

Here you will find the following:

Click on this and make sure you are [signed into the Bing Website](https://i.imgur.com/pUjOjNc.jpg) and this should open up the Bing Browser and you will open up MS Edge do 4 SEARCHES and you will be awarded 20pts Max just for using the Edge Browser.

Continue using the Bing Website for searches! You will earn 5pts for every search. This will net you a max of 150pts (30 searches) Here is the fastest way and easiest way!!! I just go to my Bing News Page and to the left click on the menu, just click and scroll down to the next, takes 10seconds [IMAGE LINK](https://i.imgur.com/2bnCIzL.jpg)

***Quick Tip:*** PC Searches can be done using your smartphone. Open up the Edge browser on your phone. Make sure you sign in to your MS acct., then at the bottom Right of your browser you will see 3 dots, click on those and select "VIEW DESKTOP SITE" searches in the search will count as PC Desktop searches

Get on your smartphone and download BING Search Engine App. Then **ON YOUR PHONE SIGN INTO BING** as the same acct. your using for rewards. Then do 20 searches for 5pts a piece earning you a max of 100pts.

Not all regions have working Mobile Search Points.

**Special Note:** Sometimes there will be Promotions that award you double points for Bing Mobile Searches. This will award you 200pts - 10pts per search, 100pts more than the standard rate of 100pts - 5pts per search.

And that is pretty much how I earn 300pts a day. Just using the Rewards Page Dashboard. I swear it takes less to do searches then it did to read this tutorial! Once you Earn 500pts you will Hit Level 2 you will stay at Level 2 until the end of the month when your rank will reset back to Level 1, then rinse and repeat. You gain rank by earning Reward Points and coming back to keep your streaks up. (Points may very upon location)

**Step 4. ]** The Rewards Dashboard **”DAILY STREAKS”**

I didn’t figure this into the 300pt a day total cause at the end, to me, it's like a free lil bonus. Here is how it works!

Every day that you log in and complete the ***Daily Set*** earns you days counting toward your streak.

For example, when you log in and complete your ***Daily Set*** for 3 days in a row, you will earn a ***BONUS GIFT*** of 45 points!

5 days later on Day 8 after you complete your Daily Set, you will be awarded a Bonus Gift of 75points!!

If you keep your streak up you can earn a maximum of 150pts every 10 days!!

Here is the **Streak Bonus Table**:

You can see how this is a nice lil bonus gift that can earn you on a good month an extra **450pts**, but take note if you forget one day to do your "Daily Set" your streak will reset back to a day 1 count causing you to start your streak all over again!

**Step 5. ]** The Rewards Dashboard **”MORE ACTIVITIES”**

In this section are additional Punch Cards/Tiles, these are not updated regularly and in some regions months can go by between updates.

Some of these Punch Cards require Edge to earn full points (5 vs 15 points), but even then they do not always award full points.

Quizzes from the Daily Set will appear down here as well, so if you did not complete one you can still earn the points but you will not gain your Daily Streak back.

**Step 6. ]** The Rewards Dashboard **"Leveling"**

There are two levels to earn, Level 1 and Level 2. Each month you will start at level 1, after you reach and earn 500pts you will be bumped up to Level 2 and stay at level 2 for the rest of the month. This benefits you when redeeming your points for prizes such as Gift Cards, Xbox Live Gold. For example, At Level 1, an Xbox 1 Month Of Live Gold will cost 9,500 points. But at Level 2, a 1 Month Xbox Live Gold will cost you a discounted price of only 8,500pts saving you a total of 1000 points. (YMMV)

# Redeeming Points Earned

This section we will discuss how to Redeem your Reward Points for Rewards!

After you have saved enough points you can redeem points using the PC Rewards Dashboard, Xbox Console App, or by using the Xbox Mobile Game Pass App. On the PC dashboard go to and click on "Redeem" Here you will be taken to a Page where you can redeem your points for Sweepstakes Giveaways, (which I never win)

If you now click on "SHOP" [IMAGE LINK](https://i.imgur.com/KnVTCSo.jpg) where it will take you to a new page where you can use your points on things such as Game Pass, Xbox Live gold, Skype, Xbox and MS Gift Cards, and other things. Each month you will find a HOT DEAL which will discount items you can shop for. The Hot Deal will run from the 15th of one month to the 15th of the next month and then it will change to a new Shop Item.

Take for example, here is a 3 Month Xbox Game Pass (image above) for only 18,000 points. Originally this would cost you 21K Points saving you a big total of 3000 points.

**Special Note: Redemption Limits-**

You can redeem up to 550,000 points per calendar year. January 1st it resets. You can redeem all of these points at the same time. There is no delay period. It can take up to 24 hours to get the gift cards.

This new app lets you simply earn points for playing games and earning achievements!!

* Check out this week's featured game

* App Launcher: Launch the Rewards app three separate days. Status 0/3 Click here when complete.

* Points Hunter:Earn 200 Points this week. Click here when done Status 0/200

Activities can range from completing achievements in any Game Pass game to checking out a game, Launching the Xbox Rewards App, to Earning Points.

When you are done come back to the Xbox Rewards App and Click the Finished Icon and you will be rewarded 100pts for your first week. As you progress, completing this quest each week, the level of points will increase. Also, each weekly quest refreshes at 3 am Eastern Time.

**Pro Tip #1]** There are Punch Cards that will award sometimes 4000pts or more for buying selected digital games. This offer does not apply to pre-ordered games. You must buy the game after it releases on launch day or a time period after release to earn these pile of points.

**Earn More, Achieve More**

#Game Pass Mobile & Xbox App

**Game Pass App** has recently added **“Quests”** you must have Game Pass for Console or GPU to access these Quests.

Follow the link which will guide you with great information on how to participate using Game Pass Quests. Game Pass Quests can be found on the Xbox Console under the Game Pass Page. There are Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Quests that can award you into the thousands of points.

This Quests Page will show you available quests, quests completed, as well as the ability to Claim Reward Points.

These Quests are the same quests that can be found using The Xbox Console Rewards App.

#Xbox mobile and PC app (UK & Brazil)

There are 4 daily quests, in all cases you need to open the app and click a button to claim the points after completing them, you can claim them one at a time or complete multiple quests and claim them in one go;

Play Jewel - 5 points - You click the task in the app and it loads the jewel app - You generally have to play a level and it will pop as completed when you finish the level and click the button to start the next one. Playing a level in jewel usually takes me about 5 minutes so it's not great value for points vs time (But I still do it every day).

Play a PC game - 10 points - You just have to launch a game in the xbox app on a PC. It can take several minutes before this pops as completed.

Play with friends on PC OR Play fortnite on xcloud - 100 points - Individuals will have one or the other of these, it's always the same one every day though - I get Play with friends every day. For play with friends you need to open a game with xbox matchmaking, I use Age of Empires, there are usually several open games with names like 'Daily Points - Not Playing', you just need to join one of the lobbies and then wait for the quest to pop as completed. It can take several minutes, today I had to quit before it notified me it was complete, but when I checked the app later on it did give me the points anyway.

Use the Xbox app - Variable points - This is the easiest task, you just need to open the app. There is a 'streak' mechanism where you get more points each day up until the 5th day, then your streak starts back at 1 day the following day.

The Bonus Points are the three modifiers I mentioned above;

Link a social account - You just need to link an account, I linked Facebook and it's never posted anything or done anything to embarrass me.

Keep 7+ friends - This is friends on your xbox account, so either on your console or in the xbox app for PC.

Subscribe to Xbox Game Pass - I have ultimate which qualified, I assume both PC and Console Game Pass would be fine too.

These bonus points are what confused me at first - I thought they might be one off point bonuses, but they actually modify the points you get for the four app quests each day. For each bonus you have achieved, you get 50% points extra. This means if you achieve all three bonuses, you get 2.5x as many points for each task - This equates to 13 for playing Jewel, 25 for playing a PC game and 250 for play with friends (I'm not 100% sure if they affect the opening the app points - I open it when I first wake up and don't pay that much attention to the number) - So with the bonuses you can get 275 points every day just for idling in an Age of Empires lobby.

You can access your Xbox using Remote Play through the Xbox app. You must use a controller with you phone/tablet as well.

Before recently Amazon Gift Cards were an available award. Newer accounts eventually get access to these.

* **Special Note: Bing Mobile Promotions-**

Sometimes there will be Promotions that award you double points for Bing Mobile Searches. This will award you 200pts - 10pts per search, 100pts more than the standard rate of 100pts - 5pts per search.

* **Special Note: Rewards Anniversary Points-**

You get 500 points on your anniversary. But if you miss it on the dashboard it won't be there the next day. There's no way to check your join date except by the anniversary pop up or your welcome email.

* **Beware of Exploits, Cheats, VPN, and Automators!!**

Beware of any cheats, anything that is not put out by MS Rewards is against MS Rewards policy Any search Automator is against all MS Rewards rules. VPNs showing that you are not at your correct location is a cheat. Any of these exploits WILL get you banned. It is not worth the minimal amount of points you will earn.

* **Do Points Expire or are they contingent on paying for services?**

Points expire if you do NOT earn any points for 18 months straight.

You do not need to maintain Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass or MS 360 to keep points.

You can deactivate your Rewards account if you need to create a new account, you will lose those points.
