Best private loan options?

I'm going to SLU for mechanical engineering and minoring in CS or biology. I've already maxed out on federal loans, scholarships, grants, and additional aid from my school, leaving an outstanding balance of about $5,766 a semester. I do plan to work during school, but I also have to pay for my car-related fees and what not. What are the best private loan options for this amount of debt? Also, my parents both have terrible credit so I can't do parent plus. Thanks!
