My 1 year old cat is in heat.

I have just recently moved again for the 2nd time this year & getting settled into a new town. My cat is at least one years old at this point and I have not gotten her fixed yet. She has gone through cycles of heat and I’m afraid I am putting her at risk for some type of health infection. I have been struggling to find a veterinary clinic that is affordable and accepting new patients.

I have heard the Humane Society (Chicago location) is a really great option but they did not have an appointment available for over two weeks. I am now in Maryland.

Any suggestions?
