Is a used Sentra a bad idea?

Currently in the process of buying a used car. I've been looking at many things but more than anything a sedan/coupe that will be decently reliable. A family member recently offered to sell me a used Nissan Sentra with 69,500 miles at $10,500. I've heard of issues with the CVT in these cars but at this price would it be a bad idea?
