- Colonel Loomis put Baird and team on trial and was about to execute them for an unsanctioned launch of a lightmass missile when no human casualties were made. Then switched the sentence to just demoting Baird after killing Karn for reasons or lack thereof.
- Chairman Prescott secretly approved of the New Hope facility where they experimented on human subjects to find cures for rustlung which only resulted in monsters (possibly locust) of their own makings in which Prescott covered up. Then authorized the hammer of dawn to exterminate the locusts in which thousands of human lives were caught in the crossfire. Hence the passionate fued between the stranded and COG. Not to mention abducting Adam Fenix for research on Azura.
- First Minister Jinn falsely accused JD and team of sedition and the cases of missing COG when she had no proof of it. When in reality the Swarm were the crux of the COG abductions. Jinn herself may have even involved herself, intentionally or unintentionally, in Anya's death as hinted at in Gears 5. There's a reason Marcus despises her the way he does. Even tries to use Kait as a pawn to end the Swarm threat against her own will. Not taking no for answer.

Agree with these takes? Do you think the leaders of the COG are justified in what they do or have they always gone too far? Lay it on me if you can.

Why are most COG leaders morally corrupt?
