The way Irondequoit people bitch about “increased traffic” any time there’s anything new coming to the town is beyond ridiculous. Uprep
I’ve never heard any of these complaints come from Greece people about RAC. I’m not a Greece resident, but have family who works at that charter— and I’ve never heard anything about violence, crime, the traffic, and certainly not danger to local children.
Where is the evidence of racism?
I see - "Increased traffic, vastly increased crime, likely gun violence, decreased property values ... (and) danger to neighborhood children due to not only increased traffic but also crime." Another warned of "enormous low test scores, larceny assault drug use," among other things" which is all an accurate analysis and race is not even mentioned. It doesn't seem like they care who is committing the violence but rather that there is violence at all. These are actual issues/concerns completely independent of what someone looks like...
Lol.. Where have you been for the last 4 years. everything is racist now. If you disagree with any aspect of anything, that means it's racist.
Why else would people conclude that opening a school result in crime and gun violence?
Because the schools within the city are full of it? It's a reasonable speculation
what part of what you quoted is an 'accurate analysis' besides increased traffic?
Property values decrease when a residential area has something which is not residential introduced
Added traffic is an obvious one. ~450+ more people with addition to the teachers to teach them is added traffic
Low test scores are easily research-able and is another accurate observation
Drug use/violence/larceny/gun violence are all speculations but are likely accurate
"Danger to neighborhood children" is also accurate because adding in more traffic inherently increases the danger to them.
All are reasonable concerns and none have to do with what anyone looks like as claimed
There really isn't enough room at this site for some of the things that they are planning on doing. If you look at a satellite view of this spot along with Eastridge High School down the street, it really shows how small this place is.
