Anyone else recently diagnosed with ADHD?

I was basically diagnosed during uni. I struggled a lot with the lack of structure and the organisational skills needed in uni. Initially I put it down to depression. During the pandemic, I saw dozens of adhd symptoms video (very relatable) made by doctors. Eventually went for diagnosis.

Since then, life has been getting better slowly. I am much more productive alhamdulilah. I understand myself so I don’t get stressed by my symptoms or lack of progress. Behavioural coaching was very helpful. Recently started meds too.

I recently read in the news, 25% of all UK prisoners have ADHD. Looking back at the Somali guys I grew up, who unfortunately ended up in jail, that definitely tracks. Most were good kids, just very impulsive and couldn’t focus. I feel sorry for those who will spend their whole life not knowing.
