Advice on dealing with tenants

So I’m currently living at my mothers house and she recently got new tenants that also play instruments but every time I practice they always bang on my door and throw me off time when practicing scales and techniques with the metronome. Keep in mind that I play with my amp volume extremely low even less then speaking volume and they still complain. But meanwhile when they practice I have to hear them play the same two chords and sing monotone for hours on end and I never bang on the door and complain. I’m debating on just cranking my amp every time they bang on my door until they eventually get the hint. Thoughts?
