Endgame Thanos vs Snyder Justice League Steppenwolf: who would actually win?

I used to think Thanos would win due to the better melee weapon and more skill/feats without the weapon (hand to hand), but now I’m leaning towards Steppenwolf due to superior physical stats.

Anyone wanna give a breakdown with feats/scaling of who would actually win and why?

Honestly the moon level scaling for steppenwolf is very contentious considering he’s nowhere near as strong as Superman who’s best feat until then was moving a tectonic plate

The best way to start scaling Thanos is the fact that before love and thunder he is consistently beating Thor’s ass.

Thor recieved a ten time boost considering one blast of lightning from him can now shred the rainbow bridge whereas before it took 10 blows with mjolnir and lightning I believe it did carry out to his durability after he got the hang of it considering he took hits from Thanos without passing out meanwhile hulk who is weaker than Thanos knocked him out

Last thing that did was Sokovia exploding so one punch from Thanos is 10 times that explosion at the very least

(Wifi sucks might not be able to respond)

Interesting reasoning.

Personally, based on the calcs I’ve found, I would say Thanos should be physically stronger on a fairly consistent basis.

Highest I would put Steppenwolf is at Small Country level, scaling to Superman surviving The World Engine, which has calcs this high. Thanos on the other hand can get to Country level by scaling to Thor shaking Jotunheim, which was calced that high.

If you don’t buy these, which I can understand, then The World Engine still has some impressive feats that Steppenwolf can still scale to. It’s collision with Earth was calced at Mountain+ and it destroyed a mountain, which was calced at Large Mountain. Thanos still happens to be more impressive, scaling to the destruction of Sokovia, which was calced at Large Island level.

But let’s say you wanna do high ends. Let’s say you buy Steppenwolf scaling to the destruction of Krypton’s moon. You could also take Mjolnir being made from a neutron star literally. According to a calc someone provided me with, this could place Hela’s destruction of it a Planet level.

I can provide links to the calcs at a later time if you’d like, but I would say that Thanos has a fairly consistent AP/Durability advantage on Steppenwolf. I can’t really speak for speed though, since I don’t have as many calcs for that.

That’s some cool scaling. Thanks for that! I suppose it actually is fair to give Steppenwolf some scaling from Man of Steel since Superman was noticeably weaker back then compared to his ZSJL self. I think speed is a big advantage Steppenwolf seems to have via scaling but Thanos isn’t necessarily a slouch in this department.

Thoughts on this breakdown of Thanos vs Steppenwolf?

No problem.

I think it was a little unfair to Steppenwolf in the beginning, but it looked like a point was being made and I can understand that. I agreed with the overall results and point distribution though.
