[1867] Shaderheim: Fairytale of the Damned - Prologue, Chp1

Greetings.

This will be my first post here. I'm usually a technical writer, so converting to creative fiction has proven interesting for me.

Shaderheim: Fairytale of the Damned is a Fantasy/Ghost story, starring what can only be described as "The Worst Monk Ever," and yet he'll find himself in over his head before long.
My main questions are:
I prefer short prologues. Let me know if this one is a good one.

Is this something you would find yourself picking up and reading to completion? Or would it be a DNF?

What problems do you see? What are your impressions?
