Do we need more segregation?

According to the daily Mail gay and trans people are going to be given separate accommodation in Universities.

Is it best to keep them separated from straight people?

Are straight people really that awful that gay and trans people can’t be around them?

What happens if a gay person has a straight friend, Would they still have to be separated?

I thought the goal of everyone was to be treated as a normal equal part of society, but now it seems like they are to be separated from us 🤔

If my gay child was going to university I’d be concerned if they weren’t allowed to be around straight people.
