If I kidnap a kingdom ruler, and then declare war on the kingdom, do I automatically win?

I’m trying to figure out the best way to go about getting the kingdom of England under me, while I’m successful in abducting and murdering leaders and heirs, I can’t seem to get myself in line on the throne, after I kidnap a leader is there a quick way to just go “this is mine now”
