The First Sword of Palaven (Turian Sentinel)

"The First Sword of Palaven does not run."

Or dodge, for that matter.

The Turian Sentinel has long been my favorite class in the game. Looking at the Big Bad List of Builds though, while there were a couple of builds for the Turian Sentinel, I couldn't find one that I strongly agreed with, so I thought I'd share mine.

6/6/4/6/4

Tech Armor For the purposes of this build, you really have to go with all 6 evolutions of Tech Armor. At Rank 4, take Durability. You really won't be detonating it, so just leave it on and take the damage reduction. Rank 5 should be Power Damage. No need to melee, and the power damage bonus is really nice with this class. At Rank 6, take Power Recharge. This is important, as you'll want faster cooldowns.

Warp Warp will be used as a debuff, so the evolutions are pretty straightforward. Detonate at Rank 4, Expose at Rank 5, and Pierce at Rank 6. Set up combos for teammates, increase all damage done to the target, and weaken its armor/damage barriers. Also can be used with Overload to set off Tech Bursts. Really useful power, in case you didn't know by now.

Overload You really don't need more than 4 ranks in Overload to get a lot out of it. One of the builds suggested skipping Overload, and I just can't agree with that. The real strength of the Turian Sentinel is its versatility, and that means having all available powers at your disposal. You could probably go both ways at Rank 4, but I tend to take Chain Overload over Damage.

Turian Veteran They've really buffed the passives on this class, to the point where I'd almost call it excessive. Depending on your preference, you could go any number of ways with these, but I'd strongly suggest going for all 6 ranks. I took Damage & Capacity at 4, Power Damage at 5, and Damage & Stability at 6. The 30% headshot bonus at Rank 5 is enticing, but with this class I focus on power damage when possible.

Fitness As someone who takes full Fitness at every opportunity, I think 4 ranks is enough. Really can't sacrifice more points towards Fitness anyway or you'd be taking away the effectiveness of other powers. Especially with Tech Armor always on, this class is pretty rugged.

Weapons If you take both weapon weight passives, you can carry some serious machinery and still have a fast cooldown. That being said, I still like to pack light. Lately I've been using the Hurricane, though in the past I've used the Phaeston and Vindicator. I think it's important to keep cooldowns as low as you can, though, since you'll be firing powers non-stop. With the Hurricane I have a 200% cooldown, and I'd advise no less than 160%.

Gear I personally like the Stronghold Package, though you can go with anything here. Power Amp Modules are nice to have to boost power damage, though an Adrenaline Module might help because this character is pretty slow and can't dodge. Especially with a rapid fire weapon like the Hurricane, Ammo Powers are very nice. My favorites for this class are Incendiary and Disruptor (Fire Explosions and Tech Bursts)

I think this is one of the best characters in the game. It strikes a key balance between biotic, tech, and weapon damage, and is therefore useful in all situations against all enemies. It's an excellent team player yet can still do well on its own.

Hope you enjoy, thanks for any feedback.
