bufferbloat: what bandwidth settings to use

Hi guys,

I have my opnsense running for one or two months now, learned a lot in the process, and was delighted to learn about 'bufferbloat' and that opnsense could fix that. Yet another reason why it was worthwhile to go for a more advanced router/firewall :-)

Anyways, implemented it roughly following [this link(https://www.dslreports.com/speedtest) and when running in wired mode got the results I was looking for. Bufferbloat rating A. Yeah!

However, most of my devices running wifi, which, depending on the location, do not reach the maximum speed (even though it is a wifi 6 network). And when running the same test over wifi, I see significant delays under load.

My assumption is that the bandwidth settings I am using are tailored for the maximum speed, which I am not getting over wifi.

My current bandwidth is 600Mbps/60Mbps (soon will be 1Gbps/1Gbps). So that's what I was using as the bandwidth settings, with an FQ-CoDel quantum factor of 3.

So is my theory correct? If it is optimised for wired, it is simply not for wireless clients (with lower throughput)?

Or something else amiss?

Thanks all!
