Maybe someone on here could benefit from this

Help

Our flight to San Jose was delayed and we missed our flight on Sansa to Tamarindo. Decided to rent a car and drive a few hours instead of waiting till the next flight in the morning. We could only receive a credit instead of a refund. We won't be able to use it before it expires. It's transferrable. Link provided or DM Reasonable offers accepted. FWIW a flight from San Jose to Tamarindo only takes an hour and costs less than a daily rental or professional driver. Plus very scenic https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1000096311348212/?mibextid=6ojiHh

Are you sure it can be transferred to another person? Also, can it be used for another route on Sansa?

They told us verbally multiple times it's transferrable. I sent an email to verify

Sansa responded and confirmed it can be transferred to another person. They just need to be informed of the transfer

Hope you find someone to take this. Otherwise you’ll just have to go back again and visit!

That really sucks they did that, when it was not your fault you missed the flight. They know full well most people won’t be returning soon enough to use the credit. I get so sick of seeing people ripped off in CR. These companies need to realize it can really spur visitors on CR and affect tourism. That is the end of my rant. I am really sorry this happened and hope someone will help you out.

You seem to more angry about this than I am. I should be more upset with the airline that was delayed for no apparent reason

Well, I see it all the time. I’m glad you’re ok and not too stressed about it.

When going to Tamarindo, I prefer to fly into Liberia. Much closer and a relatively new and smaller airport.

Tamarindo airport is a 5 min drive from tamarindo

I think it's amazing you got a credit, with such short notice. Wow! That's good customer service. Hopefully you can sell them and had/have a great time in CR. Suerte

Yes it's a credit for Sansa to purchase a ticket for any of their flights

Our of curiosity, how much is that flight on Sansa?

1
messmaker523OP•

About $125 USD one way from San Jose to Tamarindo for one person

Not bad! I live near Tamarindo, it would be nice to utilize more international options that San Jose offers.

I think the cost of a flight is less for residents of Costa Rica
