Why care so much about her relationship?

With the influx of posts of the scandal surrounding ari, just why? I get that it’s huge news but bffr. there is no need to have a post about it every few hours lol.

I’m sure everyone has better things to worry about then her-what ever relationship- private business. And NO this isn’t me trying to kiss her ass or defend her, for the love of god🤦🏽 she gained followers so that clearly shows the GP doesn’t care to the extent the posters here do…. Why is that ?

Just so lost right now. Can we have this subreddit back to being normal? Or is just about karma now

humans like to gossip. they have since the beginning of time, it's how we tell stories, how we relate to each other, how we bond, how we share opinions. i once saw a ted talk about gossip and i am not saying it's bad or good i am just saying it's what people do. I am sure it makes you feel good about yourself to be so sanctimonious about your lack of participation in the gossip but relationships are a huge indicator of someone's character. this is a subreddit for fans of ariana and i guess others now to discuss ariana. wicked filming is on pause because of the writers strike, there is no new album to discuss, no one likes rem beauty, and Ariana is currently at the center of not only the biggest scandal of her career, but also the celeb scandal of the summer. it is juicy gossip. there are more details coming out every single day and each one is worse than the last. it is almost like TV show/movie level dramatic and the details Ethan's wife is sharing through sources, like Ari holding their baby, having dinner with them, her finding out about the affair in April etc, as well as the way Ariana has handled everything so far, are giving far more insight into character than fans have had in a while.

so no, it's not going "back to normal." people are going to continue talking about. some are shitting on her sure but the majority of comments I have seen are from actual fans who are beyond disappointed to see this side of someone they have supported for so long.

but what would you like us to talk about? please enlighten me if you think there is something more compelling to discuss and I am not being sarcastic, I really would like to know your suggestions.

Ew please don’t ever call someone honey like that again. The condescending attitude is big yikes. I’m a huge Ariana fan like I have a tattoo for her on my body and I will say I’m happy that this sub has been helping me express the feelings I’m going through right now with this whole scandal. Seems like the only person having an issue here is you so please do everyone a favor and start your own sub. If you’re gonna be rude and condescending to people you can leave boo!

imo, i don’t think OP is sanctimonious because they want a subreddit they joined to return to its previous state? i love gossip, but i also think a lot of these posts/comments are deeply repetitive. also, gossip being natural doesn’t mean there isn’t harmful aspects to it? while i think partaking in gossip is normal, being so obsessed with the behavior of someone you don’t know, who isn’t being a predator/abusive/violent is really weird and a lot of the comments on this subreddit have that vibe.

a lot of the most recent commenters aren’t “concerned” or even fans. you yourself created an account like 3 days ago so how would you know who regularly posts here or are actually fans? a lot of the current commenters are people who have never posted in this sub, don’t like her, and constantly post in weird obsessive snark subreddits. like there are several upvoted comments speculating that she has a drug addiction, commenting on her appearance, and are weirdly cruel. critique her behavior in her relationships bc it’s weird, but you nor i know her well enough to comment on any other aspect of her character. i’ve know people that have cheated and done other bad things that are good people. i have been cheated on by someone who was terrible romantically but legitimately a great person. people are complicated. she might be terrible and she might be wonderful or she might just be okay. who knows? also, according to studies i believe 60-70% of people have cheated in at least one relationship, and i don’t think most people are terrible.

i don’t even love ari like that and i’m definitely not an enormous fan, i just check in occasionally to see what’s new music wise. but OP just wanting to talk about the normal subjects they’ve come to expect in this subreddit isn’t like crazy.

plus they’re right, the GP doesn’t care about celebrities cheating, beyond a convo with some friends and maybe reading an article or two. i can think of several men with successful careers who have physically abused women. people don’t care about this.

also they are not allegations. Ari clearly had an affair with Ethan. His wife confirmed it she has known since April and she and Ethan were going to work on their marriage. this is the same month Ari blocked him on IG. Then a few weeks later she is liking his mother's day IG posts to Lilly. These are not allegations these are facts. They had an affair--fact. Not an allegation.

You are choosing to believe Ariana obviously. which is frankly delusional. and I can't waste my time on this because you will only see what you want to see here. You think his wife is lying? i can't tell if you are naive or just in denial? or both? literally no offense really but it is a known fact that celebrities use their publicists to make statements to magazines under the guise of "sources" so they don't look too thirsty talking to the media. an occasional statement will be made but 99% of the time these days it is always a source. people magazine is the go-to for celebs as is it celeb friendly and they will never, ever publish something without a publicist's approval. that is why people gets exclusives etc. it is 100% scooter/ariana's team.

you can look it all up yourself instead of asking people to explain the entire story for you when others have already answered your question(s). but lemme break it down, ariana is known to emotionally cheat on her partners so this behavior isn’t appalling. what makes this situation worse than the others is they she (and ethan) ruined a family.

Well I’ve been following Ariana since like 2013. I don’t remember the jai brooks situation but I did pretty much witness all of her relationships from the past decade. Naya Rivera actually said in her book that big Sean cheated on her with Ariana.

Don’t remember much of the Dangerous Woman/Ricky era but I do remember thinking the very quick hop from Mac to Pete in a matter of weeks was very sus. But for some reason no one ever caught on and I think it’s obvious now that she did cheat on Mac for Pete. And then “break up with your girlfriend I’m bored” came out which just makes it even more obvious that she likes taken men, yet I remember Stans trying to make the music video about self love lolol.

So this new situation just doesn’t surprise me. If you read timelines of her relationships you’ll see how they all suspiciously overlap.

I’m not denying that Ariana is a serial cheater. But you’re wrong, Naya never said Sean cheated on her. Her book says “On the one day that he was back in L.A., he said he didn't want to see me. But since she had a key, she let herself in to his house. “I walk in, go downstairs, and guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music? … It rhymes with ‘Smariana Schmande.’"

During this time Ari and Sean were working on music so it’s not the craziest thing for them to sit there and…listen to music. Naya could be alluding to an affair or she could’ve just been annoyed. So where in this book did Naya claim Sean cheated on her?

Hate to answer your question with a question, but I have to: What don’t you understand? Are you young? Inexperienced? Asexual?

People who are here are here because we were fans of more than her music, we like(d) her public persona and we’re rooting for her after a traumatic few years where she served us albums and singles constantly. Her past was checkered, but she was humanized. This transgression has changed that element of things. And before you say parasocial: Most people believe their faves are good people. Most people want to believe others are good in general. This whole situation is not a good person move. It’s messy and feels cruel and it’s also uncomfortable knowing that this will probably ultimately benefit Ethan but Ari will suffer. It makes her look dumb at best, like a truly selfish, pathological, manipulative and destructive at worst.

I want to root for Ari and have even when the odds were against her, but it feels bad as a fan to put so much money and time and belief in to an artist only for them to completely fuck up in a really objectively bad way.

Because most people who are aware of what goes in to an affair that ends two marriages and leaves a mother single with a baby under 1yo involves endless lies, deep emotions, filthy sex, and brutal selfishness that might just change your mind about someone? Whenever people ask “why do you care?” I can only imagine that they literally cannot connect the dots due to lack of life experience or a disinterest in romantic or non-sexual relationships.

I think they’re just upset that Ariana is being talked about in a negative light right now. They want this sub to go back to ass-kissing delusional fans, which if OP took the time out to look, they’d find there is plenty of discussions like that happening on Instagram and Twitter. I’m actually happy this sub is being realistic about this right now.

Sure I am kinda upset about her getting 180 full hate but u got it all wrong ….

There’s just so much negativity on this sub which is a sub for fans to talk about ari-anything positive related to her- yet now it’s been taken over by non fans that have been constantly posting about her private business.

Yes what she may have done is not good, but to have it be discussed 24/7 is ridiculous. Think about it. Is that all you have? there’s nothing else in life that matters more than some celebs private business? People need to get a hold of them selves like seriously. U have a very condescending tone as well just saying.
