I found out that my Samsung front loader didn't properly melt laundry pods, and all of our clothes came out with white stuff on them. it was the plastic from the pod not melting.

But yours looks more like fuzz? Is it spinning out normal? If the washer is draining too slowly it will cause this. Do you have a filter that may need to be cleaned?

I'll have to check where the filter is. Where is it usually located?

On my front loader it's on the bottom behind a little door. Sometimes we find socks down caught in it. No idea how they get in it.

This looks to me like someone threw everything in together. Have you tried seperated loads of darks and lights?

This could be a sign you’re using too much laundry detergent or fabric softener. Fabric softener is such a huge contributor to gunk and bacteria build up in washers also on most of the bottles it says you’re supposed to dilute the softener with warm water before adding it in.
