Hello writers and critiquors!
I wrote this story in high school. (I have written before as a child.) This drama/sci-fi originally filled up two notebooks, but that version is pantsed with huge character arcs planned that meandered too much. So, I just pulled the main things I liked from the original and condensed them into a short version. If you want to know the brief summary, it's at the bottom of this post. And there's a content warning in the google doc's bottom if you want it. Comments enabled.
All feedback welcome, but I still have some questions.
So what do you like/dislike about the story? What is interesting, how can I lean into that more?
What do the characters make you feel? Do they make you feel at all?
What theme did you gather from reading it? How do I make that message more powerful?
