Does anyone else feel bad if they don’t loot the machine after they kill it??
It almost feels disrespectful or wasteful. Like I’m living off the land and need to utilize every part of the machine.

Why would you not loot the machine? There's loot there.
I may have 200 charger horns, but 200 more won't hurt.

Yeah I have 1800-something medicinal berries in my stash but a few thousand more won‘t rot either

Collecting ridge wood is tedious. Running out of ridge wood in the middle of a battle is devastating.

That happened to me once and I had to use bombs, Spike Throwers etc. Wasn‘t pretty. In ZD I usually carried 2000 ridge wood lol

Same - outside Faro’s Tomb I made sure to craft as much ammo as I could before leaving Landfall but forgot to get more ridge wood from my stash. That Apex Thunderjaw was…unkind…to my ammunition stores and I had to make sure to run back to Landfall to resupply before continuing.

I can’t not collect resources. I have 15,000 ridge wood and over 600 rocks. I think I have around 8000 medicinal berries. I dislike using certain weapons because of their expensive ammo’s crafting costs because it will eat into my hoard. I’m never going to use all those resources but I’m still going to collect everything I see. I’m so happy that the stash was implemented in forbidden west. No more running out of inventory space to worry about.

i find it funny when an NPC tells me to hurry. “…Ah? ….so you actually mean i can actually wait here as long as I like?”. then i mooch around looking for the hidden loot.

Bingo. Those are the long arm tools when a machine gets the upper hand on me. I scoot and rain death from afar. Cleared the rock-biters that way. Horrid things.

Sometimes I do because i want to get somewhere else or the game doesn’t let me. But it always feel like I’m wasting parts/shards

Yes, same. It feels like hunting an animal for sport and just leaving it there to rot. Also when i'm riding a mount and accidentally run over an animal, I HAVE to go back and collect it because it makes me feel bad. Alsoooo, when overriding machines, I always try to override two so they have a friend lol it can get exhausting 😅

I specifically hate when there is a cut scene that interrupts my looting. Can't they see I am busy? Lol

Never thought about it. If there’s ever a time when I don’t loot a machine, I will let you know if I feel bad.
