You've given the subreddit to a troll. Was no attempt made to at least check OPs comment history?
Here's an article from the creator of Zig regarding the situation. Despite his negative opinion of Reddit and r/Zig, it's quite clear the post is on-topic for the subreddit, yet the new moderation is deleting it and any other criticism.
This is not a good look.

For unofficial communities I agree. In this case, r/zig was created and built up by the creator of Zig. It was decided, with overwhelming agreement in the community, to close the sub in favour of a self-hosted solution. While Reddit is in their right to allow vandalizing of their users' communities, not all users approve of this behaviour.
