MyGm/Myleague question

I play a lot of the new eras mode, I definitely miss the off season training camps that they did away with a few games ago, does anybody have any ways to have players improve in certain statistical categories besides just going in and manually changing them? I always utilize the player training focus and intensities but I feel like it doesn't get the same effect that the training camps used to.
