There is a hooded banished knight in Stormveil. (Spoilers)

!It's on the path that leads to the secret area underneath the castle with Godwyn, you have to jump over a wall onto a tower/rampart thingy to access it. The knight is kneeling over the body of a dead black Warhawk. What is the lore reason for this? It all seems very strange, why does he have a hood and the others dont?!<
