Languages allowances

Hello guys I saw there is a bonus of around 2500€ yearly for people who can speak another language other than english. Does someone knows how it works? Do you have exactly to be in translator postion or just knowing one it is enough? Also do you must be able to speak selected languages like French or Arab, the ones that will actually be useful on deployments or just any language will translate in a pay rise?
