HELP!! i need a good word for dad!!

hey! i've been trying to figure this out for a while and REALLY don't want to mess this up.

my mom married my iranian stepdad about 6-ish years ago now, and i had no idea what to call him. i didn't want to call him his name because that's just disrespectful, but i wasn't ready to call him my father either. so i've just been... not calling him anything.

i refer to him as "him" or "he" when talking to my mom, and call him my stepdad when talking to other people. if i want to talk to him, i just try to get his attention.

it's been bugging me ever since they got married. and while i'm nervous as all hell thinking about calling him father properly, i want to do it. i'm kinda tired of always going, "amma and him." he's been a damn good father to me and i want to show him that i do think of him as my father.

so. could i get some help figuring out what a good word for father in farsi is? if it helps any, i'm in my 20s and he's in his 50s.
