Should i buy the Kona EV 64kWh?
Currently i have a Skoda Octavia 2015, 150PS Manual. I am planning to sell my current car and buy a used one, but i am trying to decide btw KonaEV and a Petrol Skoda Octavia. 2020 KonaEV 64kWh is ~25k Euros and 2020 Skoda Combi is ~20k Euros. I live in Germany, Charging infrastructure is pretty ok.
I would greatly appreciate, if you could help me deciding.
- We are two people household, we have no kids, we will be childfree. I know the KonaEV is much smaller than Skoda Octavia Combi ~410l vs 610L of trunk space. Would the trunk space be enough for 2 people household for a weeks trip?
- We live in an apartment, dont have infrastructure for personal charging point. But we have 4x 22kw charging point right next to our apartment, would this be a problem for the battery degradation over long run?
- 22kwh charger costs 0.59Euros/kWh in Germany. For 120k kms charging cost would be 12774 euros (Assuming 100kms/18kWh) vs Petrol costs 14820 euros (100kms/6.5l, 1.9 euros/litre). How much would be the saving in terms of maintenance if i plan to drive 120k kms in the next 10 years?
- We go on long trips ~500kms, probably 4 times in a year. What should i know, when i travel long distance?
- Any idea on reselling the car in 10-12 years - would i be able to resell?
