Is this normal for therapist do this?

This is my first time having my own therapist. She mostly deal with teenagers, children. Or people who have general anxiety.

My parent specially asked for Christian therapist and I was worried because I am athiest. My parents don’t know I’m athiest. My therapist has real license and her main thing is CBT therapy.

Honestly I was disappointed with the first session.

Beginning, she asked “what are you here for?” Absolutely disappointing. I literally wrote that in the form. Can she not go back in look? I can’t believe I have to reiterate.

Then anyways. It was silent and awkward so I ended up asking about her family and children.

Anyways. I started crying about my relationship. About how I had anxieties. She gave me advice on that I should just write 5 things I’m grateful for, to break that negative cycle.

Valid. Until she used the last 15 minutes of the session, to ask when can we schedule for the next appointment.
Therapy cost $150. Time is money for godsake.

Honestly I’m worried that she won’t able to help me because she is Christian and what if she is not comfortable with the idea of me losing virginity before marriage.

Tdlr; is it normal for therapist to ask what are you here for despite you put in the form. Is it normal for them to waste time at the last 15 minute.
