Should I notify my Realtor (landlord) that I'm moving out prior to end of lease?

Per the title, I've managed to buy a property and I'm keen to move in. I'm happy to pay the remaining 3 months of rent or break the lease on the request that the associated fees are waived.

My contract doesn't state I have to remain in the property till the end of the lease. I just want to know if there are other implications I'm not aware of in Victoria or otherwise.
