Want to quit stressful startup job

Work Environment

I was recently promoted in a startup company but the thing is, I feel like I was promoted at a bad time (although in a startup, I’m not sure when it isn’t). The past few months, we’ve been going back and forth on our work due to numerous changes from higher ups, and I feel like I was kind of thrown in the fire as a bandaid solution to some deeper problems. While everyone I work with is nice, the focus has been on finishing one output or task after another with little breathing room in between. The goal of our bosses is also output-driven rather than the mental health of the employees (who again, have been dealing with instability and regressive changes for months due to our CEO. Like we’re all sick of it atp huhu).

I seriously want to quit and have been patiently waiting for October-November to start job hunting. I wanted to stay a few months after getting promoted so that I could at least make it look good for the resume. But every day in this new role makes me really unhappy. For context, I also haven’t been working a full year (like at all, this is my first job out of college) so I don’t have a lot of experience to compare this with.

Is this a normal thing in startups?? Or a good thing? If there’s a benefit to sticking it out, some advice words of wisdom would really help with the strength to go on :’)
