Lore Discussion - Planet Rubicon: Type I Kardashev Scale?

Discussion

Hey everyone,

I’m taking a break after my near 100+ attempt on Chapter 4’s final boss. Therefore, I wanted to start a discussion about the previous inhabitants of planet Rubicon, also known as Rubiconians, and whether they have reached Type I in the Kardashev Scale. For those who don't know, the Kardashev Scale is a measure of a civilization's level of technological advancement, based on their ability to harness energy.

Personally, I think the Rubiconians were definitely Type I or almost near I. The setting of the story reminds me of Planet Coruscant in Star Wars, where every city is endless and mega structures are built from the desolate sands into the poisonous heavens. It's clear that the Rubiconians had mastered the ability to harness energy on a planetary scale to build such structures. The fact that their proletariat had to learn and wield 15 to 75 foot plus machinery, known to us as Old Gen ACs have to utilize full movement and lever energy to load heavy chunks of lore and turn those into industrialized supplies to make said megastructures. It really fascinates me of the world building they have to go through for hundreds to thousands of years. Their society would probably have to go through massive societal rifts unless the entire planet collectively joined together in the first place to accelerate their selves into Type I civilization.

I also wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude towards FromSoftware's writers and game director for delivering us into a new world full of mystery and story. The lore of Rubicon and its inhabitants has left me wanting more and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on this topic!
